All journalists are students.

The best ones seek opportunities to learn or brush up on areas where they might be weak (hello semi-colon).  The Poynter Institute for Media Studies in St. Petersburg, Fla. is a school for mid-career journalists that offers a host of online classes, many of which are free once you join (which is also free). They're perfect for those just starting out; and they look great on a resume.

All the courses on the right are free.
